A replica of a Lakota knife sheath from around 1870, the time of the legendary Battle of the Little Bighorn. The sheath is made in the spirit of “museum quality”, i.e. to fully match the design and materials used in the period originals.
The materials used are: elk rawhide for the corpus, brain-tanned leather, old beads, burnt tin cones. The sheath is sewn with real animal sinew, the embroidery is done with artificial sinew. The case has a light patina.
The size of the case (without suspention and the dangle) is 8×26 cm (3,15″ x 10,5 “).
The sheath can be made to order in about 3 weeks.
